Purifying your intention

First and foremost, the most important thing is to purify your intention. From the basic teachings of our religion is that every deed is rewarded according to its intention. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
Verily actions are by intentions, and every man shall have what he intended.” [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree and Saheeh Muslim

Know that you are about to embark on a journey to carry out one of the greatest and most blessed deeds, a journey that will make you from the best of people amongst mankind, a journey that will make you one of the protectors of Allah’s Speech and revelation. The rewards for memorising the Qur’aan are immense and so it is important that your heart is purified from anything that will taint your intention and as a result give you no fruits for the time you spent memorising and reciting the Qur’aan.

Make it a point to implement its teachings in your character and life. Because the Quran is not just there to be recited, but to be acted upon as well. And no one has more of a duty to act according to the Quran than those who carry it in their chests

ALGAMDULILAH

i FEEL that If you really are sincere and true in your desire to memorise the Quran, you need to make it your number one priority. Everything else in your life should work around this goal instead of the other way round. Merely saying you want it isn’t enough, your actions are what will prove the statement of your tongue. And if Allah sees you striving to succeed in it, He will make it easy for you
as He has said in Soorah al-’Ankaboot:

وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ

As for those who strive hard in Us (Our Cause), We will surely guide them to Our Paths. And verily, Allaah is with the Muhsinoon (good doers). [Al-'Ankaboot 29:69]

Asalaamoe alaykoem Wa ragmatullahi wa barakaatoe.....

So whr'd I end !!!
This was not an easy decision frm my side ...to take my kids out of school completly scared me....But after about a few mnths of building up my own Imaan n character, i trusted in  my faith and beliefs...I trusted that this was the choice and GEDAAYAH that Allah had given us with regards to our kids......

We got alot of resistance from our families esp the grand parents.
They kept on asking : " do they want to study the Qur'an ?" and then my reply WAS : " do we give them a choice to go to normal school?? Y shd they have the choice hr.... surely this is more important! "
They made me very negative sumtimes and made me doubt my decision, but my husband was steadfast and reflected that had he been given this oppurtunity wen he was young or even forced into it.... he would be very grateful to his parents right now!
I spoke to many families and realised that many couples wr doing this...
It wasnt abnormal anymore and didnt only happen to the sheikhs and the well learned peoples kids ..
Friends that I no personally were also taking the plunge with their kids.

Shukr TO Allah for guiding us all on this path....

The choices we make today will bring a brighter tomoro !

PART 1

We had been missing sumthin in our lives for a while.... we make solaah, fast during ramadaan , do all the right things but for sum or other reason my life just wasnt making me feel good. I was constantly snapping at hubby and the kids.... no sabr at times.... I could feel my Imaan wasnt strong enough.
So Ramadaan 2009 made me feel so spiritually alive .... I was on maternity leve, well actually i had resigned so i was stress free. I had all this time to devote to my family. I started looking... really looking into my kids lives , spending lotsa time with them and i met sum ladies.... spiritually strong ladies that were very inspiring...Algamdulilah.... Shukr to Allah for guiding them all my way :)
I realized how important a mothers role is  in her family , Even tho the father is the "head" / sultan /the  leader of the family, the mother is the nurturer , the educator for tomoro's future. It was as if a  light had switched on 4 me !
Then things went on.... on and off and we got the oppurtunity to go for Umrah with our kids.
Hubby was very excited.... needless to say i was freaking out cos 4 kids .... 30 degrees weather.... foreign country.... n a journey that i really wanted to do without them holding me back.... but after speaking to many women who had gone with thr kids ( n believe me its a very diff journey with them... ) i stopped stressing n sd TAWAKAL ALAH.....
It  was a most wonderful experience n shukr for my hubby who had all the patience with them and who made the right decision to take them with. They had a blast ( as they would say) and the eldest 1 was very emotional and he's only ten.
They loved Madina....(WHO WOULDNT) and they wanted us to move thr.
When we got back home, we all realized how much we missed that life ...the peacefulness and being close to your Maker.

That was August 2010 and that was wen we decided we wanted sumthing beta for them....
We wanted them to grow up loving the qur'an and our beloved Nabee Muhammad SAW. Like really love...
I wanted them to have that love in thr hearts for Allah and our Nabee SAW like they have for thr parents at this point in thr lives.... Innocent love.....
U no the way we feel as adults now about our deen.... we wanted them to grow up with that feeling.
We wanted them to use thr time constructively, cos the life now is very fast and we needed to protect our kids very well .....n the best protection is our DEEN.... n to follow the path of Nabee Muhammad SAW.

It has been shown thro the many decades that the Huffath, those individuals practice Akhlaq... N that is wat we want for our kids!!
Such children who have  the Noble Qur'an in the chests and who strive for the refinement of their character and personalities are worth their weight in gold.

Gotta go sleep ...continue tomoro....
This was fun actually!

Asalaamoe alaykoem

The Holy Qur’ān was sent down to mankind through our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAWS), as a guiding light to humanity and a cure for our hearts.
